These are general questions that are asked about life issues.

Biblical Questions

These are questions that arise from things the Bible says.

Who or what is God?  

- What is a simple answer to this?

Why is God 'he' and not 'she'?  

- Why refer to God constantly as 'he'?

Aren't all viewpoints equally valid?  

- How can Christians claim to have THE answer?  Surely in today's society we've agreed that all viewpoints are equally valid?  

Why Bother to Pray?  - What is prayer, why pray when God already is supposed to know everything you say even before you say it?

Should we be free to say what we want?  - Why do we have to have any form of censorship? 

Do the Ten Commandments still apply?  

- Why should rules from thousands of years ago, apply today?

Why do babies die?  - If God is a God of love, couldn't he stop all babies dying?

Why did Jesus come to bring Division?

- I thought Jesus came to bring peace. So, why did he say he came to bring division?  

Why does God tolerate evil? 

- Is God impotent to stop evil?

Do I have to go to church?  - Why can't I and my wife be 'church' at home?

Can a person who committed suicide go to heaven? - Will such a person go to heaven or hell for doing such an awful thing?

Does God change His mind?   - The Bible seems to indicate that God doesn't change His mind, yet there are situations where He does. How do you deal with this contradiction?

Hasn't Science Disproved the Existence of God?  - Haven't modern scientific discoveries disproved the existence of God and our need for God?   

Isn't there a contradiction in the Bible about killing  In the Old Testament in Exodus 20:13 it says, “You shall not kill”. How can we therefore justify executing people or even going to war to kill people?  

Has Dan Brown undermined Christianity?  - Has his book, The Da Vinci Code undermined the integrity of the Bible?

Why did God order Israel to sacrifice innocent animals? - In the Old Testament, God commanded Israel to sacrifice animals to him. Isn't that barbaric?

I can't stand Christians! - Why do Christians so often seem so edgy, unkind, uncaring, superspiritual and generally better not to be with?

Why did God order Israel to kill men, women and children?  - I thought God is a God of love. How could He possibly order Israel to commit genocide?

How can I KNOW that I'm a Christian?  - I think I am but I'm not sure. How can I KNOW?

Why did God harden Pharaoh's heart? 

- The Bible says God hardened Pharaoh's heart and then judged him. Isn't that unfair?

Isn't the idea of right and wrong outdated?   - What is the answer in a culture where everything goes?

Isn't the Bible full of Contradictions? - I'm told that the Bible is full of contradictions. Surely if God inspired it, it wouldn't have any contradictions?

What is the judgement of God today? - Some people say our nation is under the judgement of God. What do they mean by that?

Why is the Bible so hard to understand?  

- The Bible seems so difficult to read. Why didn't God give us an easy book to read and understand?

Isn't free-sex OK? - Christians always seem negative but isn't our society working all right?

Why does the Bible tell us  to pray for God's will?  - If God wants to do it, why do we need to pray it?

  Did Jesus mean us to literally eat his body?  - Examination of the Eucharist.
