1 Corinthians 12:12  "The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body."

Rochford Community Church

General Introduction

"Rochford Community Projects" is the umbrella name given to all projects in the community which are established and managed by Rochford Community Church.

In 1999 the church created "Rochford Community Church Trust", a company limited by guarantee (no. 3769768) and a registered charity (no. 1077877) in order to more fully expedite the objectives of the church.   One of those objectives stated in the Company Objects Clause is "To promote and fulfil such other charitable purposes beneficial to the community".

Rochford Community Projects

As one of the stated goals of RCC is to serve the local community, it was recognised that often those activities would have no religious or spiritual expressions as such.

To separate out the religious function of the church from charitable non-religious activities that the church may be involved in, the title "Rochford Community Projects" was given to these latter activities.

These activities will be mainly financed and resourced by RCC as part of its support for the community. Such activities are established, managed and supported by personnel from RCC, although it is envisaged that in the future those projects will also involve others from outside RCC.

In all instances those working within such projects will be trained and experienced personnel, or those working under the close supervision of those who are trained and experienced.

At the present time, Rochford Community Projects is expressed through the various community activities that you will find on the Community Activities page.
